Crafted for the musician who's always in search of that next great journey, the Highway Series stands at the crossroads of traditional acoustic warmth and futuristic functionality. With an ergonomic form factor that brings unmatched comfort, these guitars pack the resonant charm of a full-bodied instrument into a sleek, on-the-go package.
The series features both solid Sitka spruce and genuine mahogany tops inlaid into fully chambered mahogany bodies, giving you a choice between bright, articulate tones and warm, rich harmonics. Add to that a proprietary internal architecture with a tapered floating X bracing pattern, and you have an instrument that's designed for dynamic, organic tone.
Fender's collaboration with Fishman brings the revolutionary Fluence Acoustic Pickup system into play, ensuring that the amplified sound of the Highway Series guitars retains every bit of its acoustic authenticity. With analog technology that provides a pure, feedback-resistant tone, these guitars are engineered for performance.
We invite you to Russo Music to try out these guitars yourself. Fender artist, Julia Rizik, will be with us, not just to showcase, but to guide you through the nuances of the Highway Series. It’s a rare chance to explore these instruments' capabilities with an expert.

Available in the form of a Dreadnought or Parlor-style body, the Highway Series' innovation lies in its approach to combining a slender, sleek design and a technologically groundbreaking Fishman Fluence Acoustic Pickup system. This combination provides a playing experience that feels familiar but adventurous, unmatched lap comfort, and plugged or unplugged acoustic results that rival those of significantly larger guitars. Carefully designed around a revolutionary bracing structure, the Highway Series guitars redefine the expectations of a player's acoustic experience.
These acoustic guitars are carefully crafted with a choice of either a solid Sitka spruce or genuine mahogany top, inlaid into a fully chambered mahogany body. The feat of engineering lies in the inventive internal architecture that features a tapered floating X-bracing pattern and a brand-new thinline design. This unique combination produces unexpected resonance and tremendously helps a player's ability to be dynamic on an acoustic guitar.
Absolutely central to the series is the Fishman Fluence Acoustic Pickup system. Designed with paramount emphasis on fidelity, this system combines a curved magnetic Fluence Core pickup, utilizing innovative all-analog technology. The result is a pure and genuinely real-sounding amplified tone that's characterized by astonishing clarity and, even better, feedback resistance. The relationship between the guitar's construction and the advanced pickup system ensures that players can confidently amplify themselves without compromising the authentic acoustic essence.
The Fender Highway Series is a complete and modern reimagining of the acoustic experience, especially in the realm of amplification. Like many of Fender's innovations, it blurs the lines between tradition and modernity, delivering a harmonious blend of classic craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology.

]]>Thanks for sitting through our brief history lesson. Now we can tell you about the brand-new Gold Foil Collection from Fender. Two Telecasters – White Blonde and Candy Apple Burst. Two Jazzmasters – Shoreline Gold and Candy Apple Burst. And two Jazz Basses – Sonic Blue and 2-Color Sunburst. These limited-edition instruments are modern-day tributes to the styles and sounds of the 50’s and 60’s guitars equipped with gold foil pickups and are loaded with some of our favorite Fender appointments.
First let’s talk about the most defining feature of these Fender Guitars - the pickups. The Jazzmaster with three, the Tele with two, and the J-Bass with one. These gold foil pickups in the guitars are wound as mini-humbuckers, while the bass features a single-coil (originally, gold foils were typically single-coil, with a very few “double-coils” in the mix). They are warm, wide, articulate, and a visual compliment to the fancy finishes chosen for the collection. Next, we have our neck specs. Fender chose their very familiar and comfortable mid ‘60s “C” shape for all three models. As far as fingerboards go, maple and rosewood are the two most common to find on most Fender guitars. The Gold Foil collection however received the ebony treatment, and it fits the builds perfectly for both looks and feel. Each instrument obviously has some defining characteristics and features that it doesn’t share with the rest of the line. The Jazzmasters sport a Bigsby B50 vibrato, have a bound fingerboard, and atypical Jazzmaster wiring being that they have an “extra” pickup. Just three simple on/off slide switches; one for each pickup. On the Fender Telecasters you’ll find a vintage-style “cut-off” bridge with brass saddles (looking real sharp next to those pickups). The Jazz basses have “Lollipop” vintage-style tuners and do share the bound board quality with the Telecaster. All have matching painted headcaps, which when you’re working with vintage-inspired finish options like these, always stand out stunningly.
2023 is looking like a BIG year for Fender Guitars, and with a January release as exciting as the Gold Foil Collection, we are absolutely ecstatic to see what they put out into the world next. As always, stay tuned. We’ll be right here to tell you all about it.

100 watts and 50 watts are without a doubt, great options to have when it comes to powerful stage or studio volume. But more often than not, with the right microphone placement, do we need that much power all of the time? Those high-power amplifiers from Mesa and countless other brands 100% have their place and serve their purpose, never to be replaced. However, it sure is nice sometimes to know that you can pick up your lower wattage rig, packed with tone, and get the gig done right.
The Badlander 25 takes everything it needs from its larger cousins, packing it all in a smaller chassis and cutting its power amp down to 2 EL34’s. Take it from 25 to 10 watts by flipping a switch and enjoy the benefits of saturated Boogie tone at low power. It features Mesa’s proprietary CabClone IR tech, allowing for cabless play on stage, in the studio, or right at home. Choose from 8 different cab simulations without lifting a cabinet once? Your knees and back will thank you, trust us. Like the rest of its Badlander Rec family it has 2 footswitchable channels with 3 modes - clean, crunch, and crush. If you can’t get exactly where you need to go with all of that, don’t worry. Hook up whatever else you need through the FX loop and maintain your amp and pedal chain’s pure tone separately while they work together in unison.
The team at Mesa Boogie have always been true innovators in the world of guitar. Somehow, they’ve always made sure that their amplifier's tone stays true to itself, while always coming up with ways to one-up themselves in amp tech and user friendliness. With the introduction of the Badlander 25 Head and 1x12 Combo, they have proven yet again that they are at the forefront of guitar amp manufacturers and continue to impress us with every new release.

It is an exciting day for collectors and synthesis enthusiasts alike. The Moog Minimoog Model D Synthesizer is back, in its original glory and then some. Many years have passed since the last production run in 2016 of the coveted Minimoog, and Moog has brought one of the most sought-after Synthesizers back into production once again. No corners were cut here either. The 2022 Minimoog Model D reissue features the same signal path and audio components as the original from 1970. Each synthesizer is built using classic through-hole construction and component placement that is identical to the classic Minimoog.
In 1970, Moog introduced the Minimoog to the world, which was revolutionary in size and design. Synthesizers since their inception were exceptionally large, expensive, and difficult to use. Unlike what we envision as a standard synthesizer today, they were fully modular, and used patch cables to create sounds and route between different sound sources, envelopes, LFO’s and other modules. While modular synthesizers are immensely powerful machines and are still used today, it posed some challenges for the working, touring musician. The Minimoog, a flagship from the Moog Synthesizers, was the first of its kind; a compact, affordable, keyboard driven synthesizer that took inspiration from the highly praised Moog modular synthesizer's signature sound. It quickly became a hit with many musicians and was used by highly influential artists throughout its lifetime. The Minimoog ended up becoming the blueprint for all electronic keyboards that followed. There was nothing like the Minimoog, and to this day the original vintage units are highly sought after and coveted instruments.
As stated above, the Minimoog became the poster child for synthesizer designs and was a radical new way for musicians to get their hands on a new tool that set them apart from the rest of the crowd. At the time, Synthesizers were difficult to use, and were fully modular systems that cost a boat load of money, even in today's standards. In addition, they were gigantic pieces of equipment that were hard to transport.
The Minimoog made it possible for more musicians to get their hands on a synthesizer and revolutionize music and technology as we know it today. Whether it was the prog rock musicians such as Geddy Lee from Rush or Rick Wakeman from Yes, Bernie Worell from Parliament Funkadelic and Talking Heads, or even the legendary jazz musician Herbie Hancock, the Minimoog found a place across many unique musicians who were pushing music ahead in the 1970’s. Its unique flexibility and sound made the Minimoog famous for its thunderous bass, and its highly expressive lead sounds. Musicians liked this synthesizer's design; it was simple, with a wide variety of sound shaping capabilities and Moog brought some innovative technology to the table. Something that is a standard feature on every synthesizer thereafter was the pitch wheel. A way to bend notes in-between the lines and add an expressive element to pitch that had never been available before.
Thanks to a mistake while designing the Minimoog, which was never found until production started on the instrument, the most sought after Low-Pass Ladder Filter by gear heads alike was created. The Minimoog had this unbelievably fat and larger than life sound that was achieved accidentally by driving the input of the Low-Pass filter by almost 12db. This accident caused the filter section to saturate and become the most interesting and coveted filter still to this day. There is nothing that quite sounds like the Minimoog, and the filter is a huge part of its unique sound.
It has been many years since the last limited release of the Minimoog, and today the Minimoog is back and available for purchase once again. Moog took great care and consideration while re-releasing this synthesizer. The 2022 Model D reissue is an exact replica of the original from 1970, without cutting corners or sacrificing sound quality. Built using the same through-hole circuit design and housed in an incredibly classy locally sourced Appalachian cherry wood cabinet, the Minimoog Model D is nothing short of a masterpiece. While Moog kept the Minimoog as close as possible to its original design, the engineers working on the project made some wonderful quality of life improvements to the 2022 reissue. An analog LFO with selectable waveshapes has been added, and the keyboard is a high quality Fatar keybed that offers velocity and after-touch which is available via the CV jacks. In addition, Moog has added full MIDI integration, and an internal mixer feedback mod which eliminates the need for external routing for that classic Minimoog overdrive. Lastly, for the first time ever, the Minimoog Model D is now built using a spring-loaded pitch wheel with a center deadband. A long-awaited request from players that brings an improved user experience while utilizing the pitch wheel. While none of these modifications are original to the 1970s built Model D, they are quintessential to modernizing the instrument while keeping its originality intact. The Minimoog Model D 2022 Reissue is available today via Pre-Order from Russo Music and our first units are slated to ship later this winter.

The TX-6 does more than pocket-size mixing, however. A built-in sound generator with four waveforms and four drum machines enables the TX-6 to create music on its own. Via an onboard synthesizer mode, each channel on the TX-6 becomes a sound generator to tinker and tweak to your heart’s content. The TX-6 also aids in your own music making. A built-in instrument tuner, auxiliary out that can double as a second output, and internal memory slots for recalling your favorite settings and effects are all also on board for an extensively deep set of functions.
With the TX-6, musicians of any kind can produce their own music seamlessly in the palm of their hand. The TX-6 also features iOS connectivity with MFi, making it iPhone and iPad compatible. ]]>Luckily, with a couple of new devices from Walrus Audio, those headaches can be remedied.
The Canvas Series Mono and Stereo Line Isolator / D.I.s are the product of Walrus Audio's dedication to making your total sound clear and cohesive onstage or in the studio. These two simple black devices feature selectable D.I. (Direct Injection) and line isolating functions to convert ¼" unbalanced inputs to XLR balanced outputs. Click one button to swap between the functions and you're off to the races, whether dealing with high or low impedance sources.
With the Canvas Series Line Isolator/ D.I.s, the translation from unbalanced to balanced audio output can make a world of difference in live performance and recording. Balanced audio will retain higher fidelity, sound quality, volume, and tonal character versus unbalanced audio.
In a live performance setting, the number of cables and devices your sound will travel through on its way to the front-of-house mixing board can affect the sound you intend to produce from your rig. These changes can include loss in volume or unintended distortion in your output signal, for instance. A device like the Canvas Series Line Isolator / D.I. can prevent such effects. For a recording scenario, the same set of rules applies – a balanced XLR out will ensure tonal clarity and nuance are retained while being transmitted into an interface. The Canvas Series Line Isolator / D.I.s are designed to keep you sounding like you whether on the stage or the studio.
The kicker behind these Line Isolator / D.I.s is their custom-wound independent transformers – in the Canvas Mono, there is one transformer for D.I. and another for the line isolator. In the Canvas Stereo, there are two for the D.I. and two for the line isolator. Sourced and designed for low THD (Total Harmonic Distortion), the outputs will receive full frequency response, even though the signal is traveling through another piece of gear to its next destination.
Walrus Audio's Canvas Mono and Stereo Line Isolators / D.I.s deliver flat frequency response from 20Hz to 20kHz. In addition, each version features a Pad function for reducing the harshness of high-output instruments, a Sum function to send two inputs to a single output, and a Ground Lift function to lessen unwanted hum. All additional functions can be switched on and off with dedicated buttons.
When deciding between D.I. and line isolating, check the manufacturer's specifications of the gear you are looking to use. High impedance outputs – anything above 1k – should be used with the D.I. function where low impedance – anything below 1k – should be used with the Line Isolator. Both versions of these devices are passive, so they will not cause damage if connected improperly.
Quick, easy, and highly effective, Walrus Audio's first Canvas Series devices are tools that artists may soon find essential for performance and recording.

]]>As the president of Gibson from 1950 to 1966 – a golden age of electric guitars, if there ever were one – McCarty’s responsibilities to the company extended beyond the managerial day-to-day. McCarty’s sixteen years as president were just as much about the creative process as the corporate. Lending a personal hand to help design the Les Paul, SG, ES-335, Flying V, Explorer, and Firebird, McCarty’s passion for the electric guitar was no secret.
With his mark left on Gibson Guitars as both a director and a designer, McCarty’s legacy lives to this day.
Wheels always turning, a common pastime of McCarty during his time as president was sketching new instrument ideas during meetings. One of his designs sought to modernize the Gibson electric guitar design. With a sketch and a signature dated March 18th, 1957, McCarty’s modernized Gibson creation ultimately fell into obscurity, never reaching the production floor – until now.
Sixty-five years later to the day, the luthiers at the Gibson Custom Shop introduce the product of McCarty’s fabled design – the Theodore.
The Theodore is not only a tribute to McCarty’s memory, but to the electric guitar as we know it today. Celebrating the unwavering creative spirit that drove Gibson forward for sixteen years, McCarty’s namesake Theodore lets the world in on one of Gibson’s best kept secrets and what must have been the buzz of Gibson’s corporate offices in 1957.
The Gibson Custom Shop Theodore is directly inspired by McCarty’s original sketch and notes, as if taken straight from his desk. A design that transcends “vintage” and “retro” descriptors, the Theodore is as reverent to the 1950s sketch as can be. The Theodore is authentically ‘50s and instantly reminiscent of early guitar designs of the day.
Gibson Custom’s creation begins with an alder body with Florentine cutaways and a walnut center strip. This unique body shape is instantly eye-catching and makes a bold statement of the Theodore right off the bat. The Theodore’s body is joined by a mahogany neck fitted in a “Chunky 1957 C Shape” profile. Sitting close on your leg or slung over the shoulder with a strap, the Theodore has a one-of-a-kind presence in your arms. The body shape differs from traditional double cutaway guitars from its Florentine cutaways that make the profile stand out in a collection or onstage. The scimitar headstock tops of the Theodore’s body with Kluson six in-line tuners.
The Indian rosewood fingerboard complements many styles of playing with chord fretting and lead riffing. A wraparound bridge and nylon nut keep the Theodore’s tuning solid and playability responsive. The Theodore is not only comfortable to play but tonally stable.
The classic and authentic voice of the Theodore is summoned from its two custom Soapbar P-90 pickups. These pickups, in combination with two volume and tone controls and a three-way pickup selector switch, create a versatile palette of P-90 tones that are perfect for a wide range of musical styles. Warm, punchy, and effortlessly sustaining, these Soapbars tap into a ‘50s tone one would be hard pressed to find elsewhere.
The Theodore comes with a Historic-style brown/pink case, a premium leather strap, a 1957-style catalog page print, a deluxe certificate of authenticity booklet, and a print of McCarty’s original signed drawing. Totally, Gibson Custom’s Theodore creates an experience down to the last detail.
Three hundred and eighteen total instruments have been produced for this special Archive Collection run. Transcending vintage, modern, retro, and futuristic, McCarty’s original 1957 design comes alive in a truly special way. A reverent tribute to one of the most influential figures in electric guitars, McCarty’s vision materializes before our very eyes – unlike any seen before or since.

With improved playability, expanded tonal features, eye-catching finishes, the Player Plus series has taken the musical world for a new kind of ride – though past your usual Stratocasters and Telecasters, a new addition has been brewing.
The Meteora is not your typical Fender guitar, and that is what makes it so exciting. Though you may have seen the Fender Meteora in passing here and there, the guitar has never received a warmer reception than with its addition to the Player Plus line. An outstanding pair of instruments touch down today proudly bearing the Meteora name and the offbeat offsets have never looked better.
The Player Plus series features two Meteora models – the Player Plus Meteora and the Player Plus Active Meteora Bass. Between these two guitars, there quite a bit of tonal territory to travel and unique style to capture.
Fender's Player Plus Meteora captures some true offset style and pairs it with groundbreaking musicality. The Meteora body is constructed of alder and is matched with a maple neck. This maple neck features a satin finish for smooth travels from higher to lower registers. Pau ferro and maple fingerboards are both outfitted with twenty-two medium jumbo frets for quick playability. Strumming or soloing is a breeze on the Player Plus Meteora.
Slick and streamlined, the Player Plus Meteora also comes with real fire under the hood. Two Fireball humbucking pickups drop in on the Meteora that summon tones with impeccable articulation as well as considerable kick. Ramping these pickups with volume or overdrive effects make them bloom and highlight their unique character. Different tonal paths can be taken with the Meteora's S-1 switch that activates the Fireballs' coil splitting capabilities. If you were searching for your Fender single-coil cleans in this Player Plus entry, you've found them. Exceptionally flexible sonically and airtight in playability with a two-point tremolo bridge, the Player Plus Meteora is an awesome instrument for exploring the unconventional.
Fender has not forgotten about the offset bassists of the world with this Player Plus addition. The Player Plus Active Meteora Bass matches its sibling with its dynamically designed offset alder body and maple neck. A satin neck finish makes each trip from high to low frets a breeze. Tonally, the Player Plus Active Meteora Bass also owes its voice to a pair of Fireball humbucking pickups. These pickups deliver excellent, full tonal character, and if you lean more toward active or passive pickup setups, a dedicated toggle switch engages the pickups in an active or passive configuration to get a fuller tonal spectrum.
Fender’s Player Plus Meteoras tap into new areas for the series, functionally and musically. With these exciting new additions, the Player Plus series becomes all the more impressive.

The Grand Theater made its initial introduction with new features such as its specially scaled body shape and newly developed Taylor C-Class bracing. An innovative development, the Grand Theater’s scaled-down body was designed to capture the handiness of Taylor’s GS Mini and projection of Taylor’s Grand Concert body shapes. Sitting in between these two sizes, the Grand Theater makes for an excellent guitar to easily pick up and play for any setting. Designed specifically for the Grand Theater, Taylor C-Class bracing functions with similar focus as Taylor’s V-Class bracing pattern. Meticulously crafted to summon the richest tones and most impressive projection possible from the Grand Theater, C-Class bracing stands as a unique development only to be found on a Taylor.
Today’s Grand Theater models introduce new tonewoods along with standby Taylor features. The GTe Blacktop presents players with an aesthetically stark look and rich tones. A spruce top is finished black with a thin, matte-coated body. Solid American walnut makes a debut in the Grand Theater line to make up the guitar’s back and sides. Together, the tonewoods create an earthy and woody tone that is warm and fills rooms comfortably. Chamfered body edges complement the matte finish for a comfortable feel in hand and across the body.
Contrasting the tones brought on by woody walnut, the GTe Mahogany explores another avenue of Taylor tone through the Grand Theater shape. The GTe Mahogany has a body fully constructed of solid Neo-Tropical Mahogany which causes its acoustic tones to bloom differently, though still with plenty of sweet character and impressive projection. Mahogany’s natural compression qualities as a tonewood work in tandem with Taylor’s C-Class bracing for a blossoming tonal experience while playing. A thin matte finish makes the GTe Mahogany also comfortable to hold and strum along with while chamfered body edges are also incorporated into the model for a natural feel in the arms.
Taylor’s latest work with the Grand Theater culminates in a special limited-edition model. The GT 611e is a robust and refined instrument that takes the Grand Theater body style to a new level. Featuring a body crafted from solid figured Big Leaf Maple and solid Sitka spruce, the 611e radiates with a tonally warm and clear voice. A variation on the Grand Theater formula appears on this model with a Smoky West African Ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl and ivoroid Mission fret inlays. A full-gloss body makes the GT 611e visually radiant in a collection or under stage lights.
Each new Grand Theater model features fine Taylor equipment and appointments. The three models all come equipped with Taylor’s Expression System 2 electronics system for plugging in and playing seamlessly in recording or performing scenarios. Taylor Mini nickel tuners keep each guitar solidly in tune while a Taylor AeroCase is included with each for easy travel.
The arrival of new Grand Theater models displays Taylor’s endless and tireless work toward crafting the best versions of their models possible. With the newest trio of Grand Theaters, Taylor Guitars' latest innovation in body design is elevated to a new area of playability and musicality.

]]>The concept of the effect pedal wasn’t always as clear as it is today, and reliable, compact effect units were not always such a massive industry. Effect pedals as they are understood in their modern context are responsible for huge movements that have propelled the musical world forward countless times. The name Maestro stands among the pantheon of effect pedal greats and were there ever a point of inception for the modern effect pedal, it could be traced back to Maestro.
By the early 1960s, the Maestro name could be found on Gibson products such as accordions and the Echoplex Tape Delay. The name, unassuming and overlooked, would soon become famous and intertwined with a new market of product – the guitar pedal. Maestro’s FZ-1 Fuzz-Tone debuted in 1962 and went largely unnoticed until it stumbled its way into one of the most iconic recordings of the time and of all time since, the Rolling Stones’ “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” Guitarist Keith Richards never intended the FZ-1's buzzing brassy sound to land on the final mix, rather using it as a signal for where an additional horn section would enter and exit the song during demo recordings. Nevertheless, “Satisfaction” released, the summer of 1965 came and went, and the proverbial flood gates opened – a new musical world had emerged from a small box of buzz.
Today’s Maestro Original Collection series of pedals represents excellence in design and sound, no matter the era. The Maestro Original Collection bridges gaps with influences from the brand’s classic aesthetics and sounds with modern updates and appointments. Each pedal features an intuitive interface with three effect setting knobs and a toggle switch to access each pedal’s two modes. The design of the Original Collection harkens to a 1960s aesthetic, capturing the creative imagination of the decade while remaining exciting and new for players of today. Eye-catching chassis design, vibrant colors, and three bugle-shaped LED lights unify the look of these pedals as something retro, futuristic, but altogether unique. The design of these pedals is exciting enough, but under the footswitch, the real magic comes alive.
Today’s Maestro Fuzz-Tone comes in the form of the Fuzz-Tone FZ-M. With this pedal, the iconic blaring brass buzz shares space with fuzzes with more modern sensibilities. An all-analog creation, the FZ-M features two modes to tap into different worlds of fuzz. On one side of the toggle, Classic mode unlocks a wooly fuzz that is perfectly compatible with vintage blues licks. The FZ-M's Modern mode puts some more force behind the effect to fill out the signal for enveloping tones, reminiscent of contemporary fuzzes. Alongside these two modes, an Attack control ramps the amount of fuzz present up and down while a Tone knob brightens or darkens the character of the fuzz for biting leads or muffled undercurrents.
Inspired by the sounds of overdriven vintage tube amps, the Ranger Overdrive is an all-analog pedal created to span a spectrum of overdrive tones. From slightly warming up a signal to giving it a loving push over the broken-up edge, the Ranger is infinitely useful. A Hi and Lo toggle switch swaps the Ranger between a smooth and warm amp-like drive and a more responsive and touch-sensitive one. Exceptionally receptive to a clean signal, the Ranger works as an effective “always-on” effect to breathe life into pickups and amplifiers of any style or setting. Gain and Tone controls work intuitively for an effortlessly playable effect.
Those seeking a high-gain, cut to the chase distortion need look no further than the Invader. All-analog and ready at a moment’s notice, the distortion tones on tap for the pedal are aggressive yet responsive. The Invader’s quick setup and tonal palette introduce an easily accessible distortion experience as its high-gain character bites and crunches with easily sculpted form. Bright and articulate, the Invader keeps up with chopping palm mutes, chugging power chords, and searing leads. A noise gate function can be accessed through the Invader’s toggle switch to keep the tonal experience even tighter.
A sweet chorus effect lands in the Original Collection with the Comet. All-analog bucket brigade device technology creates a pedal that can carry players through different modulation hemispheres, with chorus, vibrato, and rotary speaker effects as standouts. The Comet’s first mode, Earth, introduces a shimmering chorus effect that can warp and waver smoothly or shine and glimmer like a glassy vibrato. When engaged to Orbit mode, the Comet adds some amplitude modulation to the mix the deepen the effect and deliver on a pseudo-rotary speaker sound. Mixing between subtle and steep modulation waves is endlessly exciting.
With the Original Collection, players can also delve into vintage-inspired delay tones with the Discoverer. Featuring all-analog bucket bridge technology to summon its spacey sounds, the Discoverer excels in crafting warm delays ranging in time from twenty to six hundred milliseconds. Quick controls including Delay and Sustain key into the parameters of the delay to set time and repeats. If one is looking to take the next step into deep-space territory, the Mod toggle switch is the ticket in. With Mod engaged, a modulation effect is added onto the delay to interact with the delay parameter settings. The Mod effect engaged can result in tape-like or pitch-shifted echo all in relation to the Delay, Sustain, and Mix settings.
Legends of effect pedals and the influence they spurred can be found in many instances across history, though few names are intrinsically tied to a moment like Maestro. Whatever serendipity brought the Stones and the Fuzz-Tone together is neither here nor there as “Satisfaction” speaks for itself – though here we are decades later still talking about it. From Pete Townshend to George Harrison, Eric Clapton to Peter Frampton, there is a reason players swear by Maestro’s effects and the music they made. Maestro’s influence on the development of effects is an important tale to tell when looking back on the progress made since the original “guitar effect pedal” and the indispensable music made along the way.
Maestro has returned to shape your sound, so take part in history decades in the making with the Maestro Original Collection.

A selection body shapes make the Generation Collection compatible with any player. From the G-00 with its parlor-sized body to the G-200 EC and its J-200 sized body, the Generation Collection spans a spectrum of sizes, though each model is quick to pick up. The classic mid-sized models, the G-45 and G-Writer EC, are equally effortless to play. Across all four models, the Generation Collection makes for a unified series that shares common features such as utile necks, ebony fingerboards, and Sitka spruce body tops. These foundational wood selections make each Generation guitar feel familiar to the next. Each utile neck is held easily in hand for a smooth yet comfortably textured feel.
The starring role of the Generation Collection is played by the Gibson Player Port. This carefully designed sound hole that lands on the bass side of each guitar above the waist, positioned in the direction of the player. The inclusion of this hole, originally conceived by Gibson in the 1960s, is intended to introduce a new tonal experience for the player. The Player Port allows for greater resonance and a closer relationship between the player and the guitar in hand, as now players can experience their acoustic output from a completely new angle – literally and figuratively. Opening up the guitar in such a way allows for closer tonal interaction as the guitarist plays. This is especially notable for the performing guitarist to hear their playing in the way their audiences do. With the performing artist in mind, the G-Writer EC and G-200 EC are equipped with LR Baggs electronics to make seamless transitions from practice to performance.
With all guitars ready for living rooms or concert halls, Gibson's Generation Collection presents a new acoustic experience for Gibson fans everywhere.
